About Us
I got my start in a surfboard factory at around 15, thanks to a shot from Simmo (Simmo Surfboards) in Tweed Heads, NSW. I kicked things off sweeping floors and cutting out decals—nothing glamorous, but I didn’t care. I was hungry to learn and willing to do whatever it took to get a foot in the door. After about a year of grinding through the shit-kicker jobs, I managed to convince Simmo to take me under his wing. That’s when the real learning began.
It took a few more years of building my skills, honing techniques, and making plenty of mistakes before EP was born. From day one, it’s been about putting in the hours—endless shaping, testing, and refining. Trial and error, constant feedback from crew and customers, and a drive to build boards that actually perform. That’s how EVADE got to where it is today, and it’s how it’ll keep progressing.
Every board is a product of that process.
Craftsmanship that’s been earned, not rushed.
